More prayer for more of God’s power. I’ve been praying for God to open and close doors in the area of Prayer Ministry as a Prayer Coordinator. I want to make sure I am glorifying God and following after Him in everything I do.
Anytime I get anxious, God reminds me to put one foot in front of the other, and He will lead me to the open doors as I pray. But. When I get tired of waiting, I get impatient and try to open doors on my own.
It’s a trust and obedience issue, as though I need to show God that I know what is best. I mean, honestly. Do I want to run ahead or run off apart from God? No, not really. Getting lost is not part of God’s plan for me or anyone else.
It’s at those times God reminds me He can open better doors than I ever could. When I wait on Him, I am stunned at what He does! He has endless resources, and He can put together pieces out of thin air. When I continue to bow my head and pray God gives me direction and clarity.
Are you dealing with this trust thing too? So, what are we going to do about it? If praying alone isn’t enough it might be time to phone a friend for help. I often call a friend or do a Zoom Prayer Meeting so I can pray with a group. Zoom has been really helpful, especially at this time when we can’t meet in person.
“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:19-20
As a believer, more prayer for more of God’s power is honestly one of the best things we can do at this time. Feel free to comment and let me know how you are praying!
Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said: “Who am I, Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? And as if this were not enough in your sight, Sovereign Lord, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant—and this decree, Sovereign Lord, is for a mere human! 2 Samuel 7:18-19
