You are new in your faith and it’s okay that you don’t have everything figured out.
It takes time to build any relationship which is true of your relationship with God. Don’t get worried that you aren’t hearing him talk to you yet, he will. He will speak when and how he chooses to, it is all in His timing.
He knows you better than anyone else and will speak to you in a way that is best for you. He is listening to you each time you pour your heart out to him, continue to tell him how you feel. It is possible that he is already speaking to you but you are young in your faith and don’t recognize his voice yet. Be patient!
Luke 24:45 says, “ Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.” The Holy Spirit will give you the insight you need to put God’s word to work in your life by opening your mind to understand it!
The most important way God speaks to you is in His word. He communicates with you on the pages of scripture. Just continue to read your bible and pray. Be persistent and ask him to help you understand.
Make sure to get involved in a bible study with the church you are attending. It will be essential to build relationships with other believers. Ask God to show you who you should be friends with and ask him to put godly friendships in your life so that you can feel a connection within the Body of Christ. Sometimes he will speak to you through them as well.
Just remember how much God loves you! He is patient and will walk with you and talk to you throughout your whole life as you seek him and grow in your faith! Congratulations on giving your life to him, he won’t let you down, just trust him!

Prayer: Dear Jesus, I praise you for how you communicate and listen to me! Thank you for speaking to me in your time. Show me how to listen to your voice. Teach me as I walk in your truth by reading your word. Please shut the mouth of the enemy from speaking lies about what you are doing in my life. Guide me in making godly friendships as I grow in my faith. In your powerful name, Jesus!
